Sales Tax

As a result of the Supreme Court decision South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc., Mixpanel had to conduct a review of the taxability of our product state by state for customers in the United States. If you reside in a state where Mixpanel has a sales tax obligation, you will see a new sales tax line item on your future Mixpanel invoices starting on 10/9/18.

Mixpanel collects state taxes from the following states:

  • Washington DC
  • Pennsylvania
  • Tennessee
  • Texas
  • Massachusetts

Check & Change Billing Information

Sales tax is determined using the zip code associated with the credit card you have on file for billing. You can update your credit card information and corresponding zip code through your account settings.

Click on the circle with your user initials in the top right of Mixpanel, and select Account Information from the drop-down list.

Here you can view your billing plans and change your billing information. You can also click here to go directly to that page.

Non-Profit Liability

If you are a non-profit company, you may not be liable for sales tax regardless of this change. Contact AR@mixpanel.com with any tax-exemption certification documents to confirm and verify your tax-exemption.
