Export or Delete Account Usage Data

Mixpanel captures data about how customers use Mixpanel to inform decisions about product development and to improve services. This data is fully accessible to customers by request, and can be deleted by request.

Mixpanel account holders can submit these requests to exercise their Right to Access and Portability, and their Right to be Forgotten as part of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Learn more about GDPR here.

The request to export or delete account usage data can take multiple weeks to process.

Delete Account Usage Data

Requests to delete account usage data can be submitted through a form located in a Mixpanel project. 

1. Click the "Privacy" link found in the Account menu.

2. Click “Delete your data” from the “Your Mixpanel Data” section of “Privacy”.

3. If a data deletion request is approved, then Mixpanel will delete all information about the user that isn’t required to provide service. The Mixpanel account will remain active. Visit this article in our Help Center to see how to cancel your account.

 

An email will be sent to the requester notifying that the deletion request has been submitted.

Export Account Usage Data

1. Click the "Privacy" link found in the Account menu.

2. Click “Export your data” from the “Your Mixpanel Data” section of “Privacy”.
