Automatic Pageview Tracking

Autotrack on hold

As of 2/6/18, the Autotrack feature is on hold until further notice and is not available for new projects. If you have projects already using Autotrack, this change will not affect you for the time being. In the meantime, we advise our customers to proceed with programmatic code for more granular reporting and deeper segmentation capabilities.

In addition to facilitating easy tracking of Events and Properties, Autotrack also allows you to track page views on your site. To enable page view tracking, click the Settings gear in the upper righthand corner of your Mixpanel project → Project settings → Autotrack → Enable… → Confirm:



Note: If you don’t have Autotrack enabled yet, you’ll need to do that first before you have the option to turn on page view tracking. For additional information on Autotrack and how to enable it, see What is Autotrack, and how do I get started using it?

Once enabled, all page views will be tracked and count against your Event tally automatically. At this time, there is no way to turn page view tracking off or on for specific pages on your site using this feature, though you can track page views for only specific pages using traditional mixpanel.track() calls.
