Dashboards provide a collective view into your most important reports.
Add reports from Insights, Funnels, and Retention to track changes to these reports regularly and simultaneously.
Create personal dashboards, project dashboards, or team dashboards depending on what you would like to track more closely.
Adding Reports to a Dashboard
To add a report to your Dashboard, click the Add to dashboard icon in the upper right-hand corner of the report.
A pop up list will appear that shows all of the available dashboards. Check the box next to any dashboards you would like to add the report to, and click Apply.
You can add reports to dashboards that have an event broken down by up to two properties. Reports with more than one event that are broken down by more than one property are not supported by dashboards.
The following example Insights report is supported:
A report where the event “App Open” is broken down by the “City” property and the “App Version” property.
The following example Insights report is not supported:
A report where the event “App Open” is broken down by the “City” property, “App Version” property, and “Operating System” property.
You can search for and select existing dashboards by name, or create a new dashboard.
To create a new dashboard, click Create new dashboard and type the name of the new dashboard in the text field that appears.
Using the Dashboard
Click on the Dashboard icon in the top left of the Mixpanel header to view your dashboards.
By default this will take you to My dashboard (your personal dashboard), but you can choose which dashboard to view by clicking anywhere on the dashboard name.
To change the title or description of the dashboard, select Edit dashboard under the three dots on the right of the dashboard header.
In the top right of the dashboard there are five buttons to control the dashboard.
Click the Add a Saved Report button to select a saved report from anywhere in your project and instantly add it to the dashboard.
Click the SHOW FILTERS button to show filters to edit what you see in the dashboard.
You can filter your dashboard by a date range, people properties, or one or more cohorts. These filters will apply to all cards on the dashboard.
There are some edge cases that may restrict the date filter.
- Only Insights reports can query by hour, while any other reports will round to the latest day.
- If you select a date range greater than 12 months, funnels will display only 12 months of data based on its end date.
- Funnel trend lines will always display the last 30 days of data based on the end date of the funnel.
The other three buttons are as follows:
Click TV Mode to view the dashboard as a presentation, which will automatically refresh every ten minutes.

Click the three dots to open additional tools, which includes:
- Refresh all cards
- Edit dashboard: Click to change the title, description, or privacy settings of the dashboard.
- Create dashboard
- Duplicate dashboard
- Delete dashboard
Editing the Dashboard
Hover over a dashboard card and click on the three vertical dots that appear to see settings for each card.
Click Edit name to change the name of the card. Click Remove to remove that card from this dashboard.
Click on the dots at the top of the dashboard card to move the card around the dashboard to reorganize.
Click the + or - buttons on the right edge of the dashboard card to resize it.
Pin to Mobile
Click the small PIN TO MOBILE button on a card to add it to your mobile dashboard.

To view a different chart type on your cards, select the Chart at the top of the card and choose your preferred chart type from the drop-down list.
