Platform Reports Retirement FAQ

Mixpanel is deprecating Platform reports. To ensure a smooth transition, we'll be doing this slowly over the course of the next few months. Please transition any use cases to one of Dashboards, Insights, Funnels, Flows or Retention.

Why are Platform Reports being retired?

Platform reports were initially introduced as a catch-all for analysis that was not natively possible in Mixpanel. In the past few years we've added support for the vast majority of use cases into our core products: Insights, Funnels, Retention, Flows or Dashboards. By improving our core reports, we've also made these features more powerful and easier to use than they were in Platform Reports.

Some of the features we've added include:

September 27, 2021 - Announcement

October 25, 2021 - Creation of new Platform reports will be disabled

December 13, 2021 - Feature removed, we will redirect customers away to Dashboards

What if my use case isn't supported in Mixpanel?

If you have a gap regarding one of our core reports (Insights, Funnels, Flows, Retention), please share it with your Customer Success Manager or post in the Mixpanel Community.

For arbitrarily flexible analysis using SQL, we recommend exporting your Mixpanel data into a data warehouse. We offer Pipelines as a managed solution to perform this export or provide an Export API to do so in a self-serve way.
