New Querying Experience in Reports

Summary

We're rolling out a new way of querying in Mixpanel- the query panel (question) will now be displayed side-by-side with the charts and tables (answers) so you no longer need to scroll up and down the page, and here's what it looks like:

What's changed?

Changing Between Reports

When you arrive at a metric that is relevant to you, you can now transition to analyze different reports at Mixpanel like retention or construct a funnel on previously selected data. Here's how it looks:

Insights

Here's a view on how viewing event totals, applying breakdowns, switching to viewing event unique users, and then viewing average events per user and median events per user looks like with the old way and the new way:

Drag and Drop between sections

You can now drag and drop between the breakdown/filter sections and as an inline filter for an event, quickly converting a breakdown to  filter without having to recreate it.
