Autotrack Effect On Mixpanel Payment

Autotrack on hold

As of 2/6/18, the Autotrack feature is on hold until further notice and is not available for new projects. If you have projects already using Autotrack, this change will not affect you for the time being. In the meantime, we advise our customers to proceed with programmatic code for more granular reporting and deeper segmentation capabilities.

Please contact your account representative or support for more information.

There is no special pricing model or additional cost for using Autotrack. Events selected for tracking in the Point & Click Editor count against the same event tally as events tracked using traditional Mixpanel track calls:

  • Once you choose to track an event in the Point & Click Editor, future occurrences of that event will count against your event tally.

  • When you select an event to track, data from the current month counts against your tally, but data from previous months will not count against your tally.

For example, let’s say on January 15 you decide to start tracking Event X in Autotrack. So far in January, Event X has been triggered 1,000 times. As soon as you choose to track Event X in Autotrack, those 1,000 occurrences will count against your tally plus any future occurrences. But you will not be charged for that event prior to January.
